Meet Rob

Rob Howard was born and raised in Richmond and has had lifelong interest and involvement in politics.  He has served the past seven years as an elected Councillor for the City.  Rob is also a small business owner who has seen first-hand the positive impact that the BC Liberals have had on the province’s economic climate. 
 
Through his experiences as a member on various boards, Rob has gained much insight into the importance of long-term planning, principle-based leadership, and community involvement.   He has served as President of Tourism Richmond, was co-Chair of the Vancouver chapter of the Real Estate Institute of BC and has served on the board of the Richmond Caring Place Society and the Heritage Commission. During his seven years as an elected Richmond City Councillor, it was his pleasure to chair several committees including the Finance and Community Safety Committees.   
 
Rob was the driving force behind the set-up of the Richmond Airport Vancouver Rapid Transit Task Force, and he was a strong proponent of the City’s long-term financial plan.  During his time as City Councillor, he was also very much involved in the Asia Pacific Strategy. 
 
Serving as Council Liaison to such groups as The Sister City Committee, Thompson, and Cambie Community Centres and the Minoru Senior’s Society, he has had the great opportunity to be involved with the community.   
 
Along with his wife Trudy and his son Jay, Rob has enjoyed giving back to the community in which his family lives.  Together, they have spent 12 years volunteering, assisting, coaching and running tournaments for the Richmond Minor Hockey Association.  Rob and Trudy have also enjoyed helping out Jay with his work as a member of the Nibbles and Bites Committee.   
 
Rob is excited to join the BC Liberal Team. 

認識何偉略 (Rob Howard)

何偉略生長於列治文，畢生對政治深感興趣，且參與其中。過去七年，他當選列治文市議員，服務市民。他本人也是一家小企業的東主，親身體驗到卑詩自由黨在過去八年執政時大大改善了本省的經濟氣候。

他出任過多個委員會的委員，從中深深確認到長遠計劃、以原則為基礎的領導和參與社區的重要性。他曾任列治文旅遊局(Tourism Richmond)主席、卑詩房地產學會溫哥華分會(Real Estate Institute of BC Vancouver Chapter)共同主席，以及列治文、加愛中心(Richmond Caring Place Society)和文化遺產委員會(Heritage Commission)委員。在列治文市議員任內，他擔任過市政府財務委員會和社區安全委員會等多個委員會的主席。

何偉略是列治文機場溫哥華捷運行動小組(Richmond Airport Vancouver Rapid task Force)的幕後推動力，他也是列治文市政府長期財政計劃的主要支持者。在市議員任內，他積極參與過亞太策略計劃。

作為列治文姐妹市委員會(Sister City Committee) 、湯森及甘比社區中心(Thompson and Cambie Community Centres)，以及Minoru Senior’s Centre耆英中心等組織的市議會聯絡人，他參與了多方面的社區事務。

何偉略與妻子Trudy和兒子Jay一家三口均樂於回饋列治文這個生於斯長於斯的社區。他們在過去12年為列治文少年曲棍球協會(Richmond Minor Hockey Association)當義工、輔助、教練以及舉辦賽事。Jay是列治文Nibbles and Bites Committee的委員，而何偉略夫妻二人更從旁協助。
